GME Standard is purchased by buying a serial number, which is then activated, on line or by email. Each serial number can be activated on three hard drives. (GME Basic is free.)

Online Purchase

To purchase a serial number, first go online. In GME, go to Help | Purchase/Activate GME to open the purchase window. Clicking 'Buy GME Standard' will take your internet browser to the payment gateway. At this page, you will be asked to enter your credit card details. Once the payment is confirmed, you will be issued a serial number for GME that can be activated on three hard drives. Please note, it is your responsibility to keep your serial number secure so that other persons can not gain activation with your serial number. 

Online Activation

A GME serial number is activated in the Activate window (click the Activate link in the Purchase/Activate GME window). At this window, the serial number is entered. Please enter your name and email address if you wish to receive notification of future updates and upgrades. With the serial number entered, click Activate, and your copy of GME will be activated.

The total number of activations for your serial number will be debited by one.

Email Purchase

Where online purchase and activation is not possible, it can be accomplished by email.

Send an email with your return email address to emailpayment@graphsmadeeasy.com. You will receive a return email from PayPal with instructions of how to make payment. When payment is approved, you will be sent a serial number.

Email Activation

GME serial numbers can be activated by email by going to the Generate Email Code window in GME. (Help| Purchase/Activate GME by Email, then click the Enter Serial Number For Email Code link). In this window, input your name and return email address, and your serial number in the space provided. Clicking the Generate Email Code link produces the email code, which looks like this:

This code is now copied and pasted in to a new email, again sent to emailpayment@graphsmadeeasy.com. You will then receive a return email which includes your activation key. This activation key is now entered by clicking the Enter Activation Key link. GME will now be activated. The number of activations for your serial number will be debited by one.

Reinstallation

If GME is reinstalled on a computer (hard drive) on which it has previously been activated, it can be reactivated without debiting the number of activations for the serial number. The online activation process will detect that GME has previously been activated on the hard drive and activate the program.

This means that you will not use an activation if you reinstall GME on your hard drive after upgrading your operating system, or erasing your hard drive due to a virus. If a computer is upgraded with a new primary hard drive, activation of the serial number will debit the number of activations for the serial number.
